Crissy and Josh's  how they met love story has a nice twist of "He Said" "She Said"

Their Verse
Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plansI have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Joshua's Story  He Said

Well, it started out about 9 years ago.  What seemed like a normal day ended up being one of the best days of my life.  My brother and I were going through the mall trying to find him some new clothes. We strolled upon this group of three older ladies, and they asked “how can we help you today?” and I thought I was cool and sly so I said “Yes, I’m looking for a cute girl around 22-25 years old real pretty,” and without skipping a beat one of the ladies pointed directly at Crissy who was hiding behind a display case. She popped her head up and I said “Well, what is your name?” She looked at me with those big beautiful blue eyes and in the sweetest voice said “I’m Crissy”.  At this point I was like what the heck is happening…But I got ahold of the situation and said “Well, ladies I think my brother needs some help looking at clothes over there.”
I walked around the display and the very first thing I asked her was if she was saved.  She looked up at me funny and said “Yes” with a puzzled look on her face.  She was the prettiest thing I have ever saw.  I never saw beauty like that before.  She was wholesome, and honest.  I kept looking for her crazy to come out somewhere but I couldn’t find anything.  She really was exactly who she said she was.  I was immediately taken with her….I chased after her so hard.  It took me over a year to get her to formally date me.  I knew she was special and I couldn’t live with myself if I had let her go, so I kept trying.
Over the next half decade of dating her I fell more and more in love with her.  She had given me everything she had, everything she was, and will be.  I have never but one person in my life who gave so much so willingly to love me and that was my grandmother.  I remember talking with my grandmother about Crissy and a few names of girls I dated before came up, and my grandma said about Crissy “You know josh she’s not like any other girl she is real L-A-D-Y!”
Looking back and seeing our history, how close we are, what we have battled together, and it just makes me look so much more forward to the future we will share together.  Finally, we have reached the point in both of our lives where its finally our time to come together as one, and move forward as husband and wife, together.
I thank God for every minute I have gotten to spend with her, and I thank God for every other moment I will get to share with her.

Crissy's Story  "She Said"

In the fall of 2007 I was working two jobs as a teacher in the Woodlands and working at Dillard’s in the mall. One afternoon this young, but yet confident guy walks up to the fragrance counter and was greeted by several sales associates asking if he was looking for something in particular. This of course, gave him the perfect opportunity to say he was “looking for a blonde, 24 year old” in which my head immediately popped up out of curiosity. Of course the ladies pointed at me and nudged me over to have a conversation with him. I assumed he would be the charming type who would say some over the top cheesy pick-up line and ask for my number in which I would then kindly smile and say something nice, take his number and would not answer when he called, but then he asked me if I was saved and that got my attention. I knew that there was something definitely different about this one. We ended up exchanging numbers and he called that night asking if I wanted to meet for dinner. Lucky me already had plans with friends and couldn’t make it. Thinking I had dodged the bullet on this one, I carried on as usual, but this guy was just persistent and determined, both great traits unless you are avoiding. LOL. Eventually I caved and agreed to “hang out” with him after work, where we would walk the Woodlands Waterway together sharing stories and getting to know each other and our families and becoming great friends. Well, I thought we were just friends, but he would tell you otherwise. One night in particular he had asked what I was doing that night, which was code for “hey, do you want to hang out?” Being my sarcastic self, I told him “not with you” in which did not translate well via text. Let’s just say that brought our hang out time to a halt and I learned the lesson that sarcasm doesn’t translate well via text. Months pass and we do our own thing, dating other people, working, life. Up until this point, I had been in denial of any feelings I had for him, because I did not want him to “win” and finally date. After all, we were always just friends, so I told myself. I wouldn’t even let him hold my hand as to not let him get the wrong idea that I liked him.
After some time, I got up the courage to call his workplace to get in contact with him again. He pretended to not remember me but after some convincing and probably humility on my part, we continued to start spending time together and began to “officially” start dating. I knew I had been so hesitant to date him, because I knew he was different, and I don’t do emotions well. I didn’t make it easy either.
Almost ten years later and many life changes and obstacles since, we are stronger than ever and getting married. Life hasn’t always been the easiest and although we would have changed some things, I believe it made us appreciate and love each other more. God was with us and directed us to each other in His timing.
